GIS Technician/Assistant Sanitarian

Richland County has a full-time, 40 hour per week, opening for a GIS Technician/Assistant Sanitarian in the Richland County Zoning Office. This position must have knowledge of geographic information system data maintenance and development, as well as general land information activities. This includes creating, compiling and maintaining data necessary for the implementation and support of the County’s geographic information system, and Land Information Plan. Also, must have knowledge of various zoning and sanitation law. All duties and responsibilities are performed under the direction and guidance of the Richland County Zoning Administrator. Bachelor’s or Associate degree from a 4-year College or technical college in geography, geographic information systems, surveying, civil engineering, and/or a natural resources field preferred. Experience with the full suite of ESRI ArcGIS software, GPS equipment is highly desirable. Possess valid POWTS (Privately Owned Wastewater Treatment System) Inspectors License and Certified Soil Testers License, issued by the State Department of Safety and Professional Services. Possess a Valid Wisconsin drivers license. Starting wage is $20.33 per hour.
