Economic Development Director

Richland County Wisconsin is accepting applications for the newly-created position of Economic Development Director. The Director will serve the towns, villages and city of the county while working with and representing the business community in the development and implementation of a compressive economic development plan. The Director will report to the Board of Economic Development.

The basic requirements of the position include a post-secondary education in a related field such as economics, business, marketing or finance; experience in working with the public sector as well as the business community and private non-profits; experience in working collaboratively and relationally with community members; have leadership skills and experience, have an entrepreneurial spirit; and have strategic planning, analytical and administrative capabilities.

The salary range is $60,000 to $75,000 per year based upon qualifications and experience. County benefits include paid holidays, vacation and sick leave; health, dental, life and short-term disability coverage; state retirement; a section 125 plan; and a deferred compensation plan.
