Deputy Clerk/Accounts Payable Specialist

Richland County has a full-time opening for a Deputy Clerk/Accounts Payable Specialist within the office of the County Clerk. The purpose of this position is to provide effective financial and clerical services focused on
AR/AP, and to offer support in providing all of the mandated services within the County Clerk's Office.
Duties include the processing and payment of vendor invoices, performing county-wide IRS reporting, collecting payments, compiling and entering data, processing election results, and performing a variety of secretarial and
reception duties. This position serves as County Clerk in the Clerk's absence under Wisconsin State Statute 59.23(2). Associate's degree and two-year experience in clerical support preferred. High school diploma, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities is required. Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel, experience with payroll and government accounting, and working knowledge of IBM I-Series, AS400 system is desired. The wage range for this 40-hr/week position is $18.99-$19.85 per hour with county health, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
