NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Finance and Personnel Committee (Tax Deed) of the Richland County Board of Supervisors will sell county-owned tax deed land hereinafter described by bids, written or oral, in the County Board Room, located on the third floor of the Courthouse, Richland Center, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the tax deed land owned by Richland County upon which bids will be received and the appraised value of said land is set forth as follows:

Village of Cazenovia – Tax Parcel # 111-1300-0822


The legal description is as follows:

Lot One (1) of Richland County Certified Survey Map No. 884, recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Richland County, Wisconsin on March 14, 2011, in Volume 8 of CSM’s, pages 112-114, as Document No. 293399. Being located in Block Eight (8), Village of Cazenovia, Richland County, Wisconsin. Subject to an easement granted to La Valle Telephone Company on January 7, 2013 and recorded on April 5, 2013 in Volume 602, Records, page 578 as Document # 301271, Richland County Register of Deeds.
Appraised value $20,000.00

Village of Yuba – Tax Parcel # 196-0636-1400

The legal description is as follows:

Lot Five (5), Block One (1) and the East 83 feet of Lot Four (4), Block One (1), Kelley and Beranek Addition to the Village of Yuba, Richland County, Wisconsin. Subject to right-of-way easement to Village of Yuba recorded as Document # 244389, Richland County Register of Deeds.
Appraised value $30,000.00

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said premises will not be sold for less than the appraised value of the parcel as set forth above, and that the Finance and Personnel Committee (Tax Deed) reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept such bids as may be most advantageous to the County of Richland. A non-refundable $30.00 fee will be added to the bid of the successful bidder for the County’s cost of recording its deed to the successful bidder. The buyer shall be responsible for paying the property taxes on the property, if any, for the year of the sale to the buyer. The former owner of the property has limited rights under Wisconsin Statutes, sections 75.26 through 75.31. Buyers who are intending to build on the property or obtain a mortgage on it may request the County to bring suit under Wisconsin Statutes, sections 75.39 through 75.41, to eliminate these rights.
