APS Social Worker
Richland County Health and Human Services has a full-time 40 hr/wk opening for a Social Worker in our Clinical Services Unit providing Elder Abuse and Adult-at-Risk investigations and related reporting in order to maintain guardianship/protective placement programming. The Adult Protective Services Worker shall receive and respond to reports of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and financial exploitation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field is required. State Social Worker certification or eligibility is required, as well as a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Two years of experience working with elders or persons with disabilities and experience with Chapter 54 and 55 of the Wisconsin Statutes preferred. Local availability for emergency on-call rotation may also be required. Current starting wage is $20.21 per hour for a certified Social Worker which increases to $20.68 per hour after probation. ($18.56 per hour is the starting wage for a non-certified Social Worker). County health, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
