NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Finance and Personnel Committee (Tax Deed) of the Richland County Board of Supervisors will sell county-owned tax deed land hereinafter described by bids, written or oral, in the County Board Room, located on the third floor of the Courthouse, Richland Center, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 9:00 a.m.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the tax deed land owned by Richland County upon which bids will be received and the appraised value of said land is set forth as follows:

City of Richland Center – Tax Parcel # 276-2100-1781
The buyer must escrow $9,250.00 and clean up the property within 90 days of taking title. Building and contents must be disposed of properly. If the property is cleaned up to the County’s satisfaction, the escrow amount will be returned to the buyer.

The legal description is as follows:

The West Forty-four (44) feet of Lot Eight (8), Block Seventeen (17) of Haseltine Addition to the City of Richland Center as laid out and platted by Ira S. Haseltine October 24, 1851, upon the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of `the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) of Section Twenty-one (21), Township Ten (10) North, Range One (1) East, Richland County, Wisconsin.
Appraised value $1.00

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said premises will not be sold for less than the appraised value of the parcel as set forth above, and that the Finance and Personnel Committee (Tax Deed) reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept such bids as may be most advantageous to the County of Richland. A non-refundable $30.00 fee will be added to the bid of the successful bidder for the County’s cost of recording its deed to the successful bidder. The buyer shall be responsible for paying the property taxes on the property, if any, for the year of the sale to the buyer. The former owner of the property has limited rights under Wisconsin Statutes, sections 75.26 through 75.31. Buyers who are intending to build on the property or obtain a mortgage on it may request the County to bring suit under Wisconsin Statutes, sections 75.39 through 75.41, to eliminate these rights.
