Assistant To The County Administrator

Richland County has a full-time opening for an Assistant to the County Administrator. The purpose of this position is to perform confidential and highly responsible administrative support involving complex work problems and situations within the Office of the County Administrator. Duties include answering inquiries pertaining to county policies, procedures and interpretation of administrative decisions, assisting with County Board and other relevant meetings, and performing a variety of secretarial and reception duties. This position acts as a liaison to County Board Supervisors, county departments, employees, other units of government, community organizations, and the general public.


Associate’s degree and experience in performing administrative support in a multi-department organization preferred. High school diploma, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. The wage range for this 40-hr/week position is $20.68-$21.62 per hour with county health, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
