The Richland Area Crimstoppers recently received a very generous donation from the Thrift Shop.

Presenting the check to past Crimestoppers President Phyllis Keller and Sheriff Berglin included Thrift

Shop Board members Darlene Tormey, Manager; Ruby Shetler, President and Rita Staum, Treasurer.

The $1000.00 donation will be put to good use by the Crimestoppers Organization, fighting crime in

Southwest Wisconsin. The Thrift Shop has made generous donations to many organizations and

special projects in our area. The Crimestoppers Board would like to applaud all the volunteers and

employees of the Thrift shop for being such a positive asset to our community.

CRIME STOPPERS is a program which involves the public, the media, and the police in a fight against crime. It offers

anonymity and cash rewards to persons who furnish information leading to the arrest and the filing of criminal charges

against crime offenders and to the capture of fugitives. Anonymity overcomes fear of involvement and cash overcomes apathy.

- Who Administers the program? -

The CRIME STOPPERS Board of Directors is comprised of concerned citizens of the Richland County area who

oversee the operation of the program. CRIME STOPPERS is a nonprofit organization and is funded

entirely through donations from the public.
